There are so many hotel booking websites, it's easy to go round in circles.
So I suggest just three. First, try
searching all the main hotel websites at once using the 'Hotels Combined'
booking form on the left. This is a free search tool that checks all the
major hotel websites including Expedia, Travelocity, Opodo, Venere & many
more, to find the cheapest rates. Set up in 2005, I think it's
amazing, and probably the best place to start looking for any hotel
worldwide.

Laterooms.com negotiates late-booking discounts within
90 days of travel, which makes it ideal for train
travellers. Try using the form below:

is an Italian-based company which is
well worth trying
separately for hotels in Italy because of its extensive range of
accommodation, including guesthouses & apartments.
